6'1 7/8" x 18 5/8" x 2 14/32" Balsa Composite construction with recycled EPS Single to double concave, 2424g no fins. This being the first in my newest construction method, I'm feeling fairly satisfied with the end result. Lots of room for method refinement...

the things you find...
After what looks to have been almost a hundred years a friend found this magnificent old longboard fin washed up on the beach.. Just like a piece of driftwood its all worn away and eroded and the colours are amazing. On the one hand I would love to leave it as-is, as an ornamental piece. But on the other hand theres a lot to be said for returning an old item to a life of function...

I was fortunate to score a commission to create five mock surfboards for display in the new Victor Harbor R-7 school library. Please excuse the flagrant misuse of the fisheye lens on the last shot...
